Skate Park

The skatepark is available to all guests during your stay, as long as the waiver form has been signed.

The skatepark features a variety of obstacles suitable for all levels of ability from beginner to expert. There's a range of different size and heights of quarter pipes to earn your first drop in on and progress further. The skate barn features a bowl area which is open at one section featuring a waterfall roll in section that links to the street section - this enables more flow and offers some unique angles of attack. The bowl also features a corner with pool coping which offers that unique sound when hit. The street section features a photogenic Hubba and ledge too. There is also a flatbank which doubles as a flyout to launch tricks out of or over portable obstacles. Extra speed can be gained for this by dropping in on the tallest quarter pipe in the park.

Prescribe a Pony Workshops

Led by a qualified equine facilitator, these sessions use horses as non-judgemental guides to help you reflect, reset, and find confidence — think of it as the wellness equivalent of a massage or reflexology. Suitable for individuals, kids, and work teams.

Canoe Trips

Canoe hire from Monmouth. Paddlers starting from Monmouth will experience the stunning lower Wye Valley, on the edge of the Forest of Dean which is one of the quietest and least used stretches of the river Wye. Once out of Monmouth the river is plunged into a steep-sided wooded valley where deer, wild boar and other wildlife is often spotted. This stretch of water is good for beginners and has some exciting sections along the way. The route passes Redbrook village which is around half way and a good place to stop for a quick drink or pub lunch at either the Boat Inn or The Bell.

If staying with us when your canoe trip takes place, make sure to let them know you're staying at Camp Hillcrest when you book

Corinna's place was exactly what I needed after a long day hiking. Corinna responded very quickly to all my questions. She kindly left some lovely fresh eggs from their chickens and tomatoes from the garden. There was even a fire place with wood logs waiting for me! Thanks.

Picture this if you will - a hard day's walking 17.5 miles and you arrive at this lovely friendly place. All snug and warmed up. Not only that but the host had put together a beautiful and plentiful meal for you.. Not only that they rustled up a couple of cold tins of beer.
Then a lovely hot shower and some relaxation around a log burner and have a great comfortable sleep. In the morning a brilliant breakfast with top notch ingredients appear and also a freshly made loaf of sourdough and the makings for our packed lunch.
This was our experience of our first night stay on walking Offa's dyke. It was heavenly. Corrina set the bar very very high for any of our subsequent stops..
Brilliant - thank you so so much.

The flat at Camp Hill Crest was perfect for our night on the Offa’s Dyke path. Plenty of space, comfortable beds and Corinna provided us with good and cheap vegetarian meals for dinner, breakfast and a packed lunch.

What an amazing spot this is! Our group loved all the activities on site (mega skatepark!) and the location which is very chilled.

Plenty of big pans in the kitchen for cooking communal meals, and also nice to have the projector and loads of sofas. The hosts were very accommodating, couldn't have asked for more really! Thanks again.

Amazing place, we will definitely be back! Very spacious private accommodation. Lots to do onsite and nearby for the kids. Local walking and mountain biking is great and the place itself has big indoor and outdoor spaces (including the skate park) which could keep them occupied for hours. Dogs (very friendly), goats and pigs an added bonus :-) Cannot recommend highly enough for young families who enjoy spending time in the outdoors.
